Open Door
Open Door -- 60 plus (+ or -)
Open door exists to serve and encourage a most important; yet often overlooked part of the church family. Our goal is for every senior to feel valued as a productive part of our community and the larger church body through various opportunities;
- Monthly luncheons – every month we offer up fun, food, and fellowship. Meals vary from pot luck to served and catered. The variety of entertainment is as varied as our menu; Musicians, Magicians, Jugglers, our own “Antiques Road Show” and more!
- Christian Education opportunities include Sunday school, Day and evening Bible studies, and Small groups.
- Special events such as our own Branson Tours, Luncheon Cruise on the St. Croix, and camping trips have been great times of making new friendships and binding old ones.
- The areas of service and involvement at Emmanuel are endless!! From Love in Action events to Secret Saint Sundays (with children). There are MOPS mentors, work projects, building projects, Women’s Ministry events, Piecemakers’s (quilters) and beyond!
The involvement of senior adults is vital and important to the health of the entire church family. Let’s share in life’s journey together! Whatever your age, no matter your background come experience the Fun, Fellowship and Family.
